I installed Windows 10 and the only program that does not work correctly is Microsoft Flight Simulator 10. I was told by Microsoft that my Intel 4400 graphics card is the problem and by Intel that they do not have a Windows 10 driver for the Intel 4400. What are the least expensive graphic cards that will run Microsoft Flight Simulator X on Windows 10? To the community: For the third time I contacted Microsoft Support and this time they fixed the problem. I asked the tech to send me the step by step information that he performed, but I have not received it to let the community know. He ran a Microsoft scan that finds and fixes errors.
I do not know if I really needed the new graphics card, but now that the program works, I'm not returning it. To those of you that have issues with the mouse not working the flight instruments, I do not have that problem. The program is fully functional with Windows 10.
I suggest if you have problems to contact Microsoft Support. My case number is which should tell the technician that you contact how they fixed my problem. I wish you luck.
I was hoping that the Microsoft tech would send me the email, telling me what scan program he used that fixed it so that I could let the community know. All I can tell you is that I upgraded my graphic card per my first contact with Microsoft suggesting I replace my Intel 4400. I purchased from Best Buy a AMD R7 240 and used the Amazon price, and the program still did not work. I called Microsoft again and after she checked out my computer, she transferred me to another department and during the transfer the system cut me out. Finally on the third call, I got a tech that was able to solve the problem using a scan program that is part of the Windows system. My suggestion is if you want the Microsoft Flight Simulator X program to work with Windows 10, is to call Microsoft Support (I had used the call back feature, which my calls were returned 5 hours later) and give them my case number which was which should tell the technician that you contact how they fixed my problem.
My MS Flight Simulator X suddenly decided to work - right after I had dutifully downloaded Windows 10 updates. There was a bunch of them too - and somewhere in those updates MS must have provided some tweaks necessary to run FS. But before I break out the champagne let's see if it stays fixed. For the record, I'm running a fairly new desktop system from ASUS, including an Intel 4600 graphics card.
I figured - what the heck - let's max all FS settings, go for a 747, why not a complicated skyline like New York/Manhattan to fly around. So far until. The next crash on my system?
